Grand synagogues, thermal baths, and affordable kosher dining
Budapest's Jewish quarter in District VII is alive with synagogues, kosher restaurants, and ruin bars built in former Jewish buildings. The Dohány Street Synagogue is the largest in Europe. The kosher restaurant scene is surprisingly good and very affordable. Thermal baths, Danube views, and stunning architecture make Budapest compelling.
