Morocco
The center of North African Jewish life and heritage
Casablanca is the heart of Moroccan Jewish heritage and home to the only Jewish museum in the Arab world — the Museum of Moroccan Judaism. Morocco once had a Jewish population of over 250,000, and while most emigrated, the heritage is preserved with royal support. The city has active synagogues, kosher restaurants, and a community that welcomes visitors warmly.
